Mugshots Grill and Bar offers an unbeatable dining experience with its mouthwatering burgers, diverse menu options, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re craving a juicy burger, a fresh salad, or even a sandwich, Mugshots has something to satisfy every palate. The exceptional service and vibrant ambience make the meal even more enjoyable. Also worth the mention would be one of Mugshots best challenges, The Mugshot! This burger is three patties, dressed with six strips of bacon, served with beer battered fries, an onion ring, and a hand battered pickle. Finish the whole plate in less than 12 minutes and the burger is on them, plus you get a tshirt! If not you will pay $25 and definitely leave with a stomach ache.
Bear’s Restaurant – Covington
Bear’s Restaurant is a hidden gem that all the locals know about. This restaurant is cherished for its authentic home-style cooking. Known for its po’boys that are packed full of flavor, I can confidently say i have never had a better po’boy in my life. Bear’s has mastered the art of crafting these iconic Louisiana sandwiches using the freshest ingredients. The casual atmosphere invites you to relax as you dive into generous portions of comfort food classics. The only problem with Bears can be finding a place to sit, and what an excellent problem to have! I prefer to order ahead and take a 20 minute drive to the Mandeville lakefront to enjoy my food while overlooking Lake Ponchotrain, or even a 5 minute drive to the Bogue Falaya Wayside Park.
